The roles for Economic Development and sustainability are beyond the confine effort of a single trade association, individual or organization hence the clarion demand for a broad base multi-stakeholder conference
The Conference
The Beam
The beam of the theme is on Nigeria being the most populous country in Africa. Nigeria exerts a great influence in Africa due to its population size of about 200 million, and often referred to as the giant of Africa. The country like other developing countries is faced with several developmental, environmental and socio-economic challenges. The deteriorating economic environment is leaving millions of Nigerians in poverty. The economy is projected to grow by an average of 2.9% per year between 2023 and 2025, only slightly above the estimated population growth rate of 2.4%; this projection raises concerns. What if there were no organizations such as trade associations?
This year’s Conference shall feature Award Session to honour well deserving individuals, corporate organizations and trade associations for their Support towards inclusive economic growth across sectors. The award comes in different categories. The 7th CONITA is also expanded to feature other meaningful sessions, such as: Panel Discussions: Featuring industry experts, economists, and policymakers discussing the multifaceted aspects; Keynote Speeches: Inspirational talks from thought leaders tackling the importance of collaboration in business; Networking Opportunities: Facilitate connections among attendees; partners and sponsors; Exhibition: Opportunity for exhibition especially for the service industry shall be available.
The Conference aim to drive honest conversation and generate dialogue around critical issues. Conversations are weaved around some of the changes we see in today’s governance and leadership era; with focus on answering key questions such as the landscape of business and industry in a nation without trade associations? How would businesses navigate challenges such as compliance, standards, and advocacy? What social and economic consequences would arise from the lack of collective industry voices? Discovering roles that Association Industry played in the history of development and the inverse of the situation shall catalyze human and institutional appreciation, and pave way for further thrive towards a better Nigeria.
